Kean Boon's Post B'day Celebration

Lately, most of my outings were either partying or birthday celebration. Don' t get me wrong I love celebrating birthdays and I love spending quality time with friends. It's also a form of escape from my usual daily routine.

Warning: This post would be mainly about food and pictures. I might be naggy about jams too though. HAHAHHA.
Venue: Harvest Inn and The Twelve Cups
Lemme start with this friend of mine. He is my "brother from another mother". He is not related in any way to me but he is a really great friend to hang out with. A very caring brother I must say. We met in Tarc and he's Teng Yee's (my ex rommie) Class Representative. It's weird how we met each other. But we always greet each other by calling "Hey Sis!" and "Hey Brother!" We all parted in ways after Diploma ended but we still keep in touch. He even treated me to The Ship as a form of farewell before I leave for KL to pursue my studies. I am sure that you all would agree that he is such a caring brother right? :D

Anyway, I was the driver of the day. I was honoured to be given such task. It shows that I am a responsible drive. LOLOLOLO.

We wanted to try Micke's Place in Love Lane, Penang. The review from the internet was good and I thought we could give it a try. I also thought it would be easy to find because it would be nearby the Jetty area but no. There were heavy traffic because it's Friday and it's lunch time. We got problem going around because the streets were very crowded. Ended up we changed the venue to China House then to The Mugshot and lastly we decided to go Harvest Inn which is nearby Northam Tower. We had to accomodate two working friends who have limited lunch break time so it was quite chaotic. I apologize for not being able to plan properly beforehand. So sorry.

We finally arrived at Harvest Inn at 1.30pm. Fyi, I departed from my house at 11.10am to pick Song Siang and Teng Yee up then travel over to Penang to pick up the Birthday Boy! :D Now you'll agree with me that driving on a Friday around the town area is madness. :O

We promptly ordered before going thoroughly the menu.  Tadaa! Ordered 8 items. The last item would be potato wedges which I happened to forgot to take picture of it. Oh!

After the departure of two working friends, the four of us went for a second round in The Twelve Cups, Beach Street. Like I said, Penang town is a busy area and it's on Friday, finding a parking space is quite troublesome but for the sake of good desserts, its worth it :D We arrived around 3.00pm.

Mille Crepe is type of layered cake. Unlike traditional ones, it is made of very thin layers of pancake which is usually made of wheat flour. It is originated from France says WIKEPEDIA. Hahaha. You might wana try it and see for yourself what's the big fuss about it.

Anyway, a very big thank you to the Birthday Boy for spending half a day with us. Happy Birthday once again. May all your make sense wishes do come true. Many happy returns of the day. Stay awesome, healthy and happy always. Take care my brother from another mother!
