What Happens When I'm 24?

Hey y'all!

I've finally taken some time out to write on my beloved long lost blog.

I've been reading real slowly. Although it seems like I just mentioned it in my new year resolution which is to read more. I don't consider reading articles as part of my achievements. I only consider finishing a novel or a storybook as an achievement. Nonetheless, I do read. Little but slowly.

Still pending my ACCA papers while my peers just attended their ACCA Convocation.

Ermaigod. I know right. Rather than focusing on my studies, I've sold my soul to my job. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing is right about that either.

Celebrated birthday by partying the Saturday night away in Zouk while my cousin spotted Lee Chong Wei surrounded by people on the deck. I must say that age catches up pretty quickly. It was 1am that I felt extremely sleepy. One hour later, we went resting on the couch. Left at 3am because God knows how much the heels hurt the legs.

Few hours later, I went to work on my birthday. It was a Sunday by the way.

Was so depressing rushing for datelines. I am currently in the tax department and it was my first Form C December Year End submission cycle. 38 files = 38 companies. Dateline is 30th August 2016. Started on 1st of August 2016. Burnt lots of midnight oil. Working for more than 12 hours per day. Can you imagine. Told ya I am a workaholic.

Anyhow, I got a cake! Colleagues bought me a cake on Monday. YAY! *throw flying kisses* I did mentioned that I wanted to eat cake but I cannot relate the fact that my birthday will get to eat cake. Since I've turned into a robot for the month of August.

Back then dinner time was in the late evening and sleeping only on an average of 5 to 6 hours per day. Dinner is within 15-20 mins per day whereby the time ranges from 7.00pm to 10.00pm. I am not complaining, just merely sharing the fact just in case you are thinking of going into tax department. Heads up. But it's worth it.

Although sleep deprived I have to say this. Pimples are no where to be found. Shocked and surprised. My pimple problems will only surface when I sleep more than 7 hours. Which is now. Boohoo!

Okay. Irrelevant rant. :)

Currently in my playlist is:
i) This Girl by Kungs vs Cookin' on 3 Burners
ii) Starving by Hailee Steinfeld
iii) Capsize by Frendship
iv) Cold water by Major Lazer

Fashion update:
Choker seems to be back in fashion. Torn denims shorts and figure hugging plain white T's.

Somebunny is back from UK, graduated with Second Class Upper which I'm extremely proud of! Muacks!

Got to hang out with my favourite shopping partner and took tons of pictures using her iphone. Here goes ~

Finally the peak period has ended, and we got a treat from the boss! YAY! You know pretty well how I react with food. Like duhh.

Me and ze family went for a relaxing hotel stay recently. The name of this place is Sojourn Guest House located in Pandan Indah, Cheras. This place is only 8 months old.
Highly highly recommending this place for you to stay. Head and shoulder massage did not live up to my expectation. The interior of the room was amazing. The rich scent of lavender and lemongrass filled the hallway right before you enter your room. It is a collaboration with Herbaline which is famous for their affordable and effective facials, and fish spa. Love love love the fish spa. The pic are not edited and its taken using iphone 4s. Also do ignore my luggage and awesome recycle bag.

Oh, one more 9gag/meme/warcircle that I find it really interesting and therefore I shall share it with you my lovely, lovely readers.

True story.

I am not the owner of this cute picture but it relates to the core in me.

Teehee.

Miss me?

Ciao!

Gone With The Lord - CLK

I barely can wake up today because I was so tired from work for the past few weeks. I snoozed a little and said, OKAY! Time to get up. Else I'm going to be late.

I went through my phone just like any morning and I saw 6 missed calls and lot's of Watsapp messages. I first went through mine with Kathy as we were chatting right before I go to bed. The second one was in our J's group chat. Only to found out that our CBM's schoolmate has gone home with Lord.

She was such a tough girl. She was also the Assistant Head Prefect. There was once she come over to my house and we were getting ready to visit another friend BBQ or Birthday party. I was the chauffeur of the day. We were so girly that we had put on some nice perfumes right before we head out.

We were also in the Choral Speaking team where we spent hours per day for practice. She was my classmates for years in both Primary and Secondary. We even had a cheerleading/ aerobic group. We had lots of common activity.

We shared the same House Color and she supported me through all the hardships. Rumah Zamrud. She can be really chatty if she is with the right person.

If my memory was not faulty she is one really tough girl. She would usually pent up her feelings and until she cannot withstand, then only she will break into tears. She is soft spoken but she can be persistent and determined. After graduation, all went on separate ways.

We were all extremely shocked by the fact that at the age of 24, she had left us.

I read the news that was shared by our mutual friend and Facebook status confirmed the incident.

She was a sweet, helpful and non-judgmental person.

If we can be of any help to her during her hardship period maybe this would not happen. No point of pin pointing and finding out now when it is too late. We can only pray for her family to stay
strong during times like this and may her soul find peace wherever she is.

You will be dearly missed.

Take care.

Flashback to 2015

Dearest readers,

Happy Twenty Sixteen! A new year with fresh new vibes to kick- start the to do lists.

I went through my blog earlier today and I've realized, in 2015, I've written only two blogposts. It's not active!! Both blogposts were written in early 2015 which means, I am not writing/ updating/ complaining and sharing to you my dear readers. *Please don't throw raw eggs at me okay?*

Meantime, let's recap what I did in the past year.

Earlier this year back in January, I got to spend some time with my gf (Janet). We went cafe hopping in Project Space and meet my goddess - Jane Chuck.

Not only that, we went on a nice place to chill -VCR. The avocado salad is awesome. However, the seat are really limited.

Chinese New Year came and passed in the blink of an eye.. I managed to hang with my friends whom we rarely get together. It was real warm. We grew up now, still the friendship bond is still strong.

Some pictures to show heh. There's CNY gathering at Teng Yee's place with Shardhana, Vi Vian.

Met up with my college mates as well: Alan Khor and Yee Xian (Mint Low), Khai Wei (Kelvin Khor), and Yee Lun(not a college mate).

When I'm back in KL, we (Kathy and moi) went to Acme Bar Coffee, Troika for a catching up session. The food was overrated in my non offensive personal opinion. Then again we did not order the signature dishes except for Sizzling Chocolate Brownie. I ordered a Healthy Breakfast Salad while Kathy got King of Breakfast. The drink is quite fancy which I liked it. Watermelon, lycee and mint if I'm not mistaken.

We of course did not miss the opportunity to take tons of pictures. Tons.

Me and her <3

March 13th,

I got admitted to the hospital for a minor external surgery. Epic, where I did not tell my mother about it. I am more than fine as on the very next day, me and ma family went Genting for a concert. Of course I did asked for my doctor's opinion before making such reckless decision.

The rock duo boy band is non other than Power Station (动力火车) . I've been a fan since I was in the primary school in Convent. Of course you can blame it on my sis as I was influenced greatly by them. LOL. For those of you who have no idea who are they, they were the famous singer for the OST of the tv series- My Fair Princess (還珠格格) with the title of the song "When" (當). I have just exposed my age. Good God.

March 15th,

We and Janet went to Troika Sky Dining. She wanted to make it up to me for not celebrating my birthday in 2014. Lol. So, I went to picked her up and we went to have dinner. My menu was recommended by the server which is the real bomb! Garganelli with tomatoes, basil, rocket, roast onions, toasted pine nuts, pesto and fresh ricotta. It's a slightly undercooked pasta, whereby its a bit like undercooked pan mee. AND it was my first experience eating such main, and I did embarassed myself when I revealed the undercooked portion. I'm not as atas ma. How I know wor? T____T

March 25th,

My first domestic day trip flight. HAHAHA. And it's work related. My boss flew me to Penang to check on the client's software installation to ensure there is no hiccup after 1st of April. My client arranged his driver to pick me up in a Land Rover. It was an awesome car with mirror signals. CRAY CRAY MOMENTO. That moment, I felt quite atas. ROFLMAO. My fav couple manage to have lunch with me somemore. YAY! It was quite tiring. No place for you to rest, Upon arrival, work. Lunch. Finish then leave.

9th May 2015,

Celebrating mother's day dining at MAMA's Veggie at Bukit Tengah.

Thank you for bringing me into this world. And I know that I am rebellious at times. But you are the best mother a girl can ask for. She knows I need and likes to go out often. She don't stop me. Woohoo!

29th May 2015,

My first time overnight in the office. I cannot finish my work and the dateline is crazy. Slept at 3am and woke up at 6.30am. I was sleep deprived the whole week and the client decided to add some oil to the fire. I cried non-stop. I managed to remain extremely professional over the phone until my voice broke right after he/she hung up. HAHAHAHA. Come to think of it, what doesn't kill me makes me stronger.

11th July 2015,

Paid Cups and Cubs in Mont Kiara a visit. It's a cafe where dog owners can bring their pets to dine with them. All the dogs will be released in the cafe to socialize with each other. It's so adorable as you can see so many furry four legged man's best friends running around, playing, chasing and barking at each other. The patrons there took so many pictures of the dogs which made me feel like the dogs are in the Grammy Awards strutting down the red carpet. The downside would be the some dogs poops while the others wee wee to mark their territory. It is the owner of the dogs' responsibility to clean after them. It's a highly recommended place if you're feeling down and lonely.

18th July 2015,

Shardhana came down to KL and we spent some time together shopping in Midvalley with Janet and her friends. Everything we said can be turned into a joke like seriously. We are walking, talking real life clowns. *Flips hair* I was still a lacto-ovo vegetarian back then, I managed to veto Janet to having meat meals. Introduced them Simple Life and they liked it. Achievement accomplished. They were "goat" for a day.

27th July

Celebrated Janet's 23rd's Birthday Bash at a service suit in Pudu. The birthday girl requested potato salad. Made some finger food which I'm not sure if I did poison anyone in the party. HAHAHAHAHA. The theme was ONE PIECE, which recently (not more than 4 months ago, I just started watching the anime). Back to the event, I was sleeping after everybody arrived. I am such an anti-social b*itch. I'm sorry. I was too tired. Earlier that day, Janet called and kidnap me in the morning. I did not even bother waking up earlier to prepare. She woke me up and I dashed out of the house. Smelly and disgusting.

28th August, (MY BIRTHDAY)

I was invited by two sifu to join my sister to attend a 4 days 3 nights Buddhist camp in Kuantan, Pahang. It was a really good get-away for me to spend some time away from the busting city. We were helping to set up offering arrangements, cleaning, washing and chanting sutras. It was so busy but it helps to keep my mind off from work and daily stresses. I feel so happy although I get to sleep only around 5 to 6 hours per day. The people are so sincere and helpful. It's a good activity to strengthen your relation with your religion sometimes. It gives you stronger faith and hope- of course necessary basic things you have to do, and don't just pray to GOD and expects you get everything without doing nothing.

13th September 2015,

Janet's farewell party in BM. She is flying to UK in a few days time. The three of us got together (including Jmin), we are reunited at last!

16th September 2015,

Janet flies to UK.

4th Oct 2015,

Standard Chartered Marathon got cancelled due to the extreme haze condition. My two homies still fly to KL and we went Changkat to party the night away. LOL

10th Oct 2015,

Reunited with my long lost best friend, Noriziana Binti Anuar. NANA. Everybody in the school knew that we were best buds till she switched to other school. We had so much to catch up on 10 years of friendship? That's quite some chat. Had lamb chop and she had Tacos which reminded me of Gabriel Iglesias.

History- We used to spend time everyday after school at my place until her mum finished work and picked her up from my house. We played badminton in the back of my house. Thanks to her, my skill developed. HAHAHAHA. She hits left and right.

Anyhow, she studies microorganisms. Which is quite interesting with the discovery of scientific facts. You go gurl! Let's keep in touch, perhaps hopefully not in another ten years time for another round of chat!

November 1st

Splurge on some real good food which costs us arms and legs. But let me say this- I did not regret as the food is so damn good. It's literally finger licking good. Hint: It's red and it's sweet. What is it?

Wrong. It's not an apple. HAHAHAHA

Fresh flown lobster!! in Pince and Pints, Jalan Telawi, Bangsar.

There were only four main sets. No others. RM 138 ++ per sets. Water, make sure you order sky juice, and not fancy bottled mineral water which comes in like a champagne bottle which costs RM 28++. We ordered a glass of white wine (DOMAINE DE LA PÉPIÈRE, SUR LIE,MUSCADET SÈVRE-ET-MAINE, LOIRE, FRANCE) if I'm not mistaken. Blame my faulty memory :P

We ordered Chilli Lobsters with Man Tao and Lobster Roll.

Our bill is- RM 451.69. My heart almost stopped right then when I received the bill.

6th December 2015,

I fell in love with a foul smelling food. I have reached another level of awesome-ness I guess. Yikes. It's Stinky Tofu.

臭豆腐

I used to hate them very much as it smells like poop. I had my first in Jonker Street and I cannot bear the stinky feet like smell. AHHH.

I'm not sure what's gotten into me that I suddenly really liked it one day when my sis had it. I said, I want one bite. Everytime I tried to endure one bite but it fails. Miraculously, that night changed. LOL

I really really love it. I will not miss the Friday pasar malam nearby Jalan Kuching every week. I would even lower my standards to go for Kepong's Stinky Tofu shop just to have them. I would prefer my stinky tofu to be wet on the inside and crispy on the outside. It is definitely not for the faint hearted people due to it's pungent smell. *ANOTHER ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED*

That Christmas Weekend (Back In BM)

Count down party with ma homies in The Weld, Automall, Jelutong Penang. It wasn't a great place to party but hell but the Tuesday Gang did reunited once again. It been two years since our last complete group hang out! Definitely missed them. Used to spent my time with them everyday during the semester break. Cafe hopping and searching for good food every Tuesday. One of the bizarre act was an impromptu drive to Penang when we actually wanted to go Autocity. I was kidnapped! My mum did warn me not to go out so frequent back in the days. Ah! Good times. HAHAHAHA

25th December,

Managed to go for a Dim Sum with my uncle and sister which I really love doing. Dim Sum to me is a great get together, no need to wait for the Dong Zi or the Festival of Tang Yuan to get together. Me and my uncle shared a common trait which is both of us loves dim sum. I'm more to a Prawn Fritters person while he likes his Siu Mai just fine. We will order Kuk Pou (a combination of Kuk Fa (Chrysanthemum) and Pu Er (No translation) HAH!. I loved that drink. It helps to washed off the oily food that we eat during dim sum session.

For the record, I used to have dim sum with him every morning. I'm so glad that my arteries have not given up on me yet. *insert crying/ laughing emoji).

In the afternoon, me and my girls hang out for a karaoke session. 3 hours, 4 ladies songs from Adele, Sam Smith, Taylor Swift, Duan Fa (short hair- by Gigi Leung) and other Chinese high notes songs- can you imagine the damage done? We were emo queen that day.

26th December

Finally chopped off my long hair, now its shoulder length. I look like a 16 year old/ 18 year old.

Had a bellyful dinner with the family and we were so bloated from all my fav food! Slurps.

Later that night, I crashed my homies' friend BBQ party. Stanley asked to get Fried Bee Hoon which I ended up buying Crab Meat Hor Fun anddd it's tasteless. I felt so bad. We did quite an interesting activity which is to tie cherries knot using the cherries stem. I did it in less than 4 mins. It was so much fun. It was babe Iris's idea. It was also an extremely quite game as they need to keep their mouth shut. Their expression might be "sucking real hard on the candy sort o' face. PRICELESS.

There were amplifiers whereby we can create our own loud playlists with the plug of the phone. Someone was forced to dance to the Daddy by Psy song which was hysterical. "I got it from my mama~ I got.. got it..

There were BBQ Honey Chicken Wings, Sausages, Authentic Butter and Sugar Toast Bread, Cherries, Watermelon, junk food, soft drinks and lastly Chivas. There were ten of us. Thanks to the host. Hopefully we did not wake his parents. HAH!

Therefore, this is my 2015. I have a to do list for 2016 which is to read more. Simple and therefore, I shall achieve them. You should set one resolution which you can achieve too! Let's give a toast to the wonderful 2015 and let's usher the good vibes of 2016! Hear Hear! Stay awesome my dearest people!

Love,

Purple Dinosaur
