Hard Rock Cafe With Them Girls

Oh hello there readers,

Last weekend, I was back in Penang for a very short period of time. I didn't get to meet up with a lot of my friends. Awww. shoot. One even have his birthday. I'm such a jerk right. Ugh. Felt so bad about it. Yada yada. Let's move on to the part of the blog where there's lots of pictures with pretty girls and food aight?

We went for Hard Rock Penang. I've been to this place in total for three times with this lady. First time was her birthday. Back in two years or three perhaps. I can't recall really. This is like a mini mini gathering with the classmates of 5Z? Since there was only four of us. Jia Ying, Jing Ying, myself and Jie Min.

Yoong Hui who was suppose to join us but she wasn't free. AND there was also Janet, I thought she was in KL. But no. She was in Penang. The fact on how I knew she knew that we both were in Penang was that she commented bo jio in Instagram. Why lidddat?

This is her. Jmin. Haha. The person I came to Hard Rock with for the total of three times. I know right. We both love the live band too much I guess.

The ambience that night. Lots of Birthday Celebration. 6 times singing the birthday song.
It was full booked. We arrived with people standing outside, queing.

Jia Ying and Jmin. OMG. I just realised. It's a quadruple J gathering. With Janet and JoongHui(yoong hui) missig. LOL

They used to seat right in the front row of the class. Right in front of the blackboard.
 

We were all catching up, talking about studies(Jmin and Jing Ying) and work (Me and Jia Ying). LOL. They even thought of continuing masters just for the sake of avoiding the reality- working.

We are necklaces sisters. And coincidentally, we have the same Initials. HJY.
Coincidence? I think not. LOLOLOLOLO. Kidding. Let's not give ourself heart attacks.
You know, bacon has been clotting up the veins, no need more pressure. TEE HEE.

Pure westerner's meal. And the portion. Oh may God bless our tiny veins. hahaha

 The description was taken from the Hard Rock Menu. :) After reading it, I guess you'll hate me. HAHAHA.

Jia Ying's main:  Hickory BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger            

Basted with our special Hickory Bar-B-Que sauce and smothered with caramelized onions. Topped with crisp seasoned turkey bacon and melted Cheddar cheese. *

 

Jing Ying's main: The Texan            

Chipotle and Hickory Bar-B-Que sauce, cheddar cheese, crispy jalapenos and crispy onions... everything is bigger in Texas! Go big & make it a 10oz. Bar-B-Que sandwich with an additional charge.

Jie Min's main: Twisted Mac, Chicken & Cheese            

A grilled chicken breast tops off twisted Cavatappi pasta tossed in a lightly spiced 3-cheese sauce, with garlic, roasted red peppers and Parmesan parsley bread crumbs. Served with a side of garlic toast.



My main:  Legendary 10 oz. Burger            

Famous the world over: topped with seasoned turkey bacon, two slices of Cheddar cheese, a crisp fried onion ring, lettuce, tomato and pickles. *

 

 I didn't really enjoyed my main as it was tiny bit dry for my liking although I asked for half done. It arrived as 100% done. The service was good cause they asked is everything okay with the food. I gave an unenthusiastic "yeeaaahh". On second thought, I should have ordered my veggie leggie burger. Moist and cheesy. Yum!

The band for the night. The guitarist which was right behind the lead singer (sadly he was locked) in this picture- we thought he was Morris (from Tiempo Tiempo)

The band was okay. They sang Oasis, All About That Base- Meghan Trainor, Lovesong by Adele, Love Song- Sarah Bareilles. Definitely misses Tiempo Tiempo band. It was too good and therefore it is inevitable for us to compare. Whoopsie.

We were all good girls cause we all ordered warm water. It was drizzling the whole night and it got really cold. Me and Jing Ying was wearing singlet. Luckily she brought a cardigan. The price of being sexy. HAHAHAHA.

Definitely will be doing that again next round. Lunarich or Patio perhaps? Haven't got a chance to visit there at all.

Hello my dearest readers,

Lol. By the way I have greeted you, you would have know something is very fishy. *Smirk face*. Do you remember me saying that I will need to ask for your help when the time comes. Well, here it is. An Exremely Short Vay-Kay-Tion (Swiss Garden Residence & Hotels)

Hello there my dear readers,

I've always like to write about going on a vacation. Especially when it is an expense paid trip. LOL. Of course by family members, not strangers. We checked in after work. It was a Friday and thus the traffic was quite heavy. The jam happened in the tunnel of Jalan Tun Razak which causes my 二姐 to be stucked in jam so we were waiting for her at the hotel before we headed out for late dinner.

Standard Room. Surprisingly, it fitted 4 adults and 1 child. :D

We then went Pak Hailam (opposite Swiss Garden) for food. I didn't take any picture at Pak Hailam and also while I'm at the Petaling Street because I was too busy looking at all the stalls selling different types of things. It's really an eye-opening experience.

I slept with my niece with her mum beside her. She practically treated me like her bolster. She kept lifting her legs and crossing it on me. I didn't realize any of this until 6 a.m. the next morning. I took her smelly bolster(a monkey plushie) and put it on top of her. I guess being too tired comes in handy for times like this. You are immune to disturbance and you can sleep peacefully.

Woke up quite early which is around 8.00 am and we dilly dallied for a bit before we headed to level 6 for the infinity pool. No pretty view in front of the pool (sadly) but the pool was quite big in comparison to Setia Sky's Residence (which was really small). Anyhow, time for pictures! :D

The best part of swimming that morning was, I wanted to try the floating on the back shot. I tried #15times or more. Swallowed lots of chlorinated water to repeat that shot. The shot that gives the #macamyesfeel. I had some shots looking like a constipated person, others look like a floating corpse which I will not post it here. Tips: take my phone and you can get to scroll through okay? :D haha. So here goes!

I am super cold and I don't usually bath cold water. So entering a pool with cold water in the morning is quite challenging for me. haha. Brrrr.....

My second sis brought my niece to the  playground around level 6 while she played with skywalker (an exercise machine thing) if you must know.

 After the morning swim, we head back to our room and took a shower. Prepping to get ready for breakfast at mamak (zinc roof style mamak roti canai and maggie goreng) which I also did not take picture of. Whoops. I did took some selfie though. :D *Thumbs up*

We supposedly went back to the hotel to go for a sauna session (FOC) but we had all showered and put on light make up so if we were to go the sauna, we have to repeat the whole process again. Instead we laze around the hotel room.

It was a mini-getaway session with the siblings and bro-in-law and my niece. It's good and it's healthy. Life is all about stop and stare at times and enjoy it's moment. Whether if it's an energy recharge stop or for no reason. Everyone should take a rest from the usual routine.

We Sold Our Soul To Our- SMARTPHONE?

Hey guys,

This blogpost was inspired by a friend of mine in Facebook who says that looking at our phone has been a norm these days. I myself take public transport everyday for traveling purpose and I realized we humans lost the interaction with people. We are the new generation of idiots. In a way. Smiling at our non-living gadgets.

I've gotten this from the internet but as a matter of fact that's how it looks like in the LRT these days. #Truestory

 
However, I do understand the question of how we came about like this. Answer? We are getting shy-er these days. Reason for me saying this?  We like to avoid human contacts with another stranger. It feels awkward unless he/she is a colleague or a friend. Imagine someone staring at you with no reason for 10 minutes. You'd be wondering if you yourself was really pretty or that guy must be sick in some sort of ways.

Furthermore, the power of technology has evolved into being able to shift your attention momentarily with full attention away from the current task. This is why working adults while in their office has the tendency to scroll through their smartphones while repeating boring work patterns. 

I'm not gonna lie. I myself do smile at my phone. Not until lately, I didn't switch on data, so yea. It's like snapping back to reality. Literally. Without data, there would be no access to internet. There I was looking around, searching for something interesting to look at while traveling back from work. Humans- they are fascinating creatures.

Gestures, on the phone talking to a friend or their spouse. Frowning and sleepy faces. Hours ago, I saw a man watching a movie with Christian Bale in it- he was on earphone. I wonder if the movie was good. 

What happens if the future generation plugged on earphones watching movies while taking public transportation. That is quite a sad scene if it does materialize. We would all be walking, talking robots.

 

 I guess there would not be anymore love at first sight? That's interesting because I'm not sure if it still exist in this era, but definitely it will be be extinct in the next one. Just saying

So instead of gluing to our phones most of the time, why not spend some time with yourself thinking ways to stay positive, spending time with friends, with the scenery, with the environment?

Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

Hello my lovely readers, I have been MIA for like so long. HAHAHA

I have been quite sick last weekend, so all my weekend planning to do ALS Ice Bucket challenge and donation had to be put on hold as all I do was to sleep after every meal.

Don't worry now, as I'm fully recovered, or at least I think I am. *giggles*

So all my planning can proceed as planned! I would like to take this opportunity to thank my dear old friend Lee Yi Hui, all the way from New Zealand. Sending you love from all the way from Malaysia. Thanks yo! :D Without her nomination  I wouldn't have thought of donating to ALS Association.

Not only it is a way to create awareness among this generation of the disease but also to help them by donating by monetary term(for ALS research purpose) or time(spent with patients) or gifts(toys & etc).

Seeing this makes me very happy. Not a word is accurate enough to describe how I feel after seeing this.

A brief explanation of what is ALS. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease," is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body.

In laymen term would be the brain losing the control of all your muscle which leads to patients being completely paralyzed.

It reminds me of a great book by Mitch Albom by the title of Tuesday With Morrie. I've learnt from the book that usually we, humans chase after the wrong things until we or someone close to us are diagnosed with deadly disease. It changes the perspective of the individual itself. This expensive bag or a pair of shoe wouldn't matter so much when our life or someone close to us's life is at stake.

However, by saying this, we should not stop living and enjoying life altogether. After all, we are just human. *insert the song Human- Christina Perry*

Okay. Jokes aside, live and enjoy life not to the expense of others. Bring joy to others as well. Be it a smile to a stranger or helping a visually impaired person going into the lrt.

Of course definitely, not only should we channel all our focus solely on ALS since it has been receiving tons of attention worldwide instead but also others such as World Vision. Do click on the link below for more information. :D
